Honestly, this episode is really funny. It carries the humour that the show is known for an executes some great jokes in the the a plot. THE A PLOT
Yes that is my biggest problem honestly, the B plot might be the worst thing rick and Morty has done, including pickle rick's One. It brings up the one thing I genuinely thought was great about the previous episode and spoils it, all for a boring status quo finale.
Beth as a character has always sucked and watching her finally change at the end was interesting but the show kind of hit the rest button
Funny episode bad finale (controversial opinion I know)
This is my biggest problem with season 3 in general, it feels to self aware aswell. It normally just says rick is smart and uses all these typical sci-fi devices. I think back to an episode like the season 2 premiere, which was so interesting just watching rick try to solve this impossibly absurd situation
I hope season 4 is like the first 2 seasons, this show is no where near bad but a change in direction (ie no divorce plot) might make it reach new and better heights previously achieved
