Ok first off this by no means a horrible story. It's one of those slow boil shows reminiscent of Broadchurch but maybe with a lower budget. The story deals with the lies family tells each other and the long term ramifications of those lies on the family psyche.

Catt returns home for the first time in years after her mother dies suddenly even though she has been sick. Everyone just assumes her death was caused by her illness bit Cat who has had long simmering animosity towards him suspects her father of murder. However no one wants to hear it as the rest of the family views her as hysterical and a liar.

The show is mostly Cat fighting into deep family secrets trying to find the truth. A truth that could end up destroying her family.

I have read some of the bad reviews and o e in particular is silly (the one complaining about the anti me too message like every white male has to be written as a villain or the show sends the wrong message). That is just dumb.

This show isn't perfect. The ending is a bit anticlimactic but the rest is a tight psychological thriller about family secrets and the price we pay when we blame others for our own sins.
