Their goal is to scare people away from social democracy in favour of the current "business as usual," exploitive capitalism. We're supposed to be content with CEO's enslaving us, because maybe someday we could be one, if we "work hard enough." If not, we should be content with poverty. That's the narrative they're pushing here.
