The 7th Dawn (1964)
6/10
Overlong but sturdy, adult actioner
21 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
An unusual action movie for 1964 in that it has a complex, non-black-and-white relationship between hero and villain, two strong female characters, and no happy ending. It's overly long (123 minutes) and has a few lulls, but the action scenes, when they do come, are well done, and the Malaysian jungles look dense and foreboding. Also worth catching: Maurice Binder's (James Bond) liquid title sequence. **1/2 out of 4.
