Terrific Film about Impoverished Youth in New York
24 January 2019
This was a really great film, but did not hit the peaks it could have. But I cannot say I wasn't enthused the whole way through.

The story is a poor boy in some part of New York, and the struggle he goes through while working and trying to make a life for himself. There's a tight knit group of characters who all work close by, and the protagonist feels like part of the family. It reminds me of a third world country, but in reality it's the US. Not really a sad look at poverty, but it moreso shows how fun and different the other sides of life can be.

8 stars. No more, maybe a half star less.
