DUCKMAN was a crude, disgusting and incredibly funny cartoon that I loved back in the 1990s when it debuted. While folks today often think about "South Park" as groundbreaking because of its excesses and crudeness, DUCKMAN was nearly as offensive and awful...and debuted three years before "South Park". If it sounds like I have mixed feelings about this show, you are right. While I love it, I would NEVER consider showing it to children. Heck, I would hesitate to even show it to adults with good taste and breeding. Fortunately for me, I have neither.
The show was about the adventures of an evil duck who co-owns a detective agency. Unlike his very competent partner, Duckman is essentially a pervert and idiot and he spends the episodes insulting everyone and saying stuff that normals would never say out loud. And, Jason Alexander's voicework was magnificent as the perennially angry duck. Well worth seeing....just don't say you weren't forewarned!!
