It is alwasy nice to come across a fresh take on a certain genre and Destination Wedding does that. The two main characters are quirky, pessimistic and share no joy when it comes to the rest of the human society. Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder are great, the chemistry between them is perfect. I believe that the best feature of this film is the dialogue. It is witty, smart and listening to the two protagonists rant about other people and basically the entire world is absolutely hilarious. Destination Wedding also manages to avoid most of the cliches usually attached to this genre which is a breath of fresh and a nice break from all the generic romantic comedies. You will still find some but the approach is tasteful and not cheesy. Recommended if you wish to see something a bit different and offbeat.
