In my last year in high school I read in one of the "red tops" a story about LazyTown actress Julianna Rose Mauriello appearing in a "grown up" drama. Seeing no sign of the movie over the years,I kept a note of it in case it ever appeared. After the passing of LazyTown star Stefán Karl Stefánsson,I looked at the credits of the cast,and finally fixed a viewing.

Joined by the late Skye McCole Bartusiak as the tough Coleman,Julianna Rose Mauriello gives a very good performance as Pyper,with Mauriello capturing the pent-up pain of the bullied Pyper. Done on a really low-budget,co-writer/(with cinematographer Ryan Sims) director Darren J. Butler does well in the limitations in taking a short look at bullying, with the opening showing the visible marks of hurt on Pyper's back,and the screenplay taking her and the bullies to a breaking point that offers no quick fix.
