I watched this film in baited anticipation that this would get better. Unfortunately it didn't. I have very mixed emotions about this film - disappointment, apathy and indifference.
This is a poor attempt at ripping off Se7en with a mix of Hostel and Saw. Throw in with some fleeting moments of cenobites in the mix (standing in the corner, hovering over a bed, and generally doing nothing) and apparently you've got a new Hellraiser film.
Long gone are the days where new cenobites are created and I'm sure I'm not the only one who misses watching the evolution of a cenobite or 3 in these films.
With only 25 minutes left of the movie, I was certain that the action would increase and we would get to see a glimpse of something great. Nope. Nothing except predicability and more disappointment. There was nothing "horror" about this film that I can even think worthy to remember.
The acting wasn't bad - I'll give it that. But as a massive fan of Hellraiser, I just want to see something where interesting new creatures are brought to life in front of my eyes with a desire to unleash absolute hell.
