Lifeline (2016–2017)

Interesting premise but really bad editing and acting!

Warning: Spoilers
This is an interesting premise for a story i.e. that a transplant from someone else can transfer memories from the donor to the recipient. The problem is that it comes across more as a Spanish Telenovela rather than a thriller. The acting is pretty bad, really unbelievable, and the dialog is just silly, whether in Spanish of the translated subtitles. The editing in some of the episodes is very choppy, with some scenes lasting about 2 seconds before moving on to another, quite unrelated scene. By the middle of the series, one is tempted to think about skipping the episodes and just going to the end since the story is just dragged out by a series of very unbelievable events that makes the viewer concerned about how hospitals and police departments in Spain are run. The flashback scenes that are meant to depict what memories the recipient is seeing are overdone and become ridiculous after a while. As a series, it really does not lend itself to binge watching but maybe when it aired as a series of weekly episodes, it might have been more bearable to watch at that pace!
