South Park: Put It Down (2017)
Season 21, Episode 2
7/10
Decent episode, but MAN it's got problems
21 September 2017
This episode is pretty decent, and a big improvement over the previous episode. I find the Tweek and Craig part to be very funny and entertaining, something I haven't felt in a new South Park episode since at least season 19. The President's tweets are pretty crass and funny, but they aren't overused. It's funny how they put fidget spinners in the plot. The episode isn't as heavy-handed as something from season 20. But that's where the positives end. The thing stopping this episode from being truly great is Cartman. He comes off as a self-serving douche, and not in an interesting way like most of his episodes before season 16 were. He uses suicide threats to try and get what he wants, and none of it is justified. It's just him being selfish. I can imagine a few people getting offended by this episode just for that. I'd give it a light 7, as the plots do blend pretty well.
