This is a pretty odd episode, seeing as how it features only a handful of people from the Fire Kingdom invading the Candy Kingdom. I actually like what they do with Marshaline (marshmallow Marceline) and Flame Princess as the dragon. They do in fact fight, but Marshaline thinks it's just a game and plays with her. We really should have more interaction between these two characters. The animation seems pretty top notch here. There actually is this pretty interesting twist at the end too. Finn has finally gathered all the jewels he needs for the Enchiridion (the magic book Betty uses).
Then Betty just stops him from getting on the magic carpet! Wow, I had no idea she had gone crazy herself! It was weird to see Princess Bubblegum turn all the fire people into candy too. I don't know. It just seemed odd she would suddenly become that powerful out of nowhere. Still, it's very creative with what they do. I think Flame Princess had licorice hair with some generic candy body maybe? It's also great to see Lumpy Space Princess help out too. ***1/2
