Grimm: Bad Teeth (2012)
Season 2, Episode 1

The first episode of the second season of "Grimm" is fun and it keeps things going after the last episode of the first season. It is a little bit slow, though, its pace suffering from all the story-lines is trying to keep going.

Nick and Kimura's showdown is interrupted by... Nick's mother. Kimura ends in prison, and Nick with a conversation with his mother. Captain Renard is not very happy with the mess he has in his hands. And a new enemy is close by. And let's not forget Juliette...

The episode does a good job of keeping things going while giving enough time to everyone (ok, almost, poor Hank). The effects are still a little bit shoddy, but acceptable, and sometimes makes all look too fake. And the pace comes and goes, with way too many story-lines right now going on. However, the acting and direction help overcome its shortcomings. With so much going on, it will be normal if the viewer gets a little bit lost. The background and stories, though, keep making "Grimm"'s story more and more interesting. Let's hope it doesn't become too messy, though.
