Plot; As the crew of the Ghost debate whether or not throw in with the Rebels full time, the Empire, led by Darth Vader, is hot on their trail.
I enjoyed my binge through S1 of Rebels last year, finding it a marked improvement over the sprawling and often less focused Clone Wars. This double length kickoff drops us right into the story in progress, again a nod to the style of the films, and after a year away it took me a while to get my bearings storywise. Once I did, "Siege of Lothal" became a moderately entertaining, if unambitious, return by the crew of the Ghost. The seemingly fulltime inclusion of a Clone Wars character was unwelcome, but I did get a kick out of the great James Earl Jones reprising his role as Vader and a small cameo by Billy Dee Williams as Lando in full scoundrel mode.
