Baar Baar Dekho is a very good attempt towards making something different. The movie had its flaws but it's sure worth at least a one watch. If you wanna watch something really different in Bollywood, this is the movie for you. Katrina's acting is below average as usual. If there were to be a different actress, the movie would have been slightly better. Siddharth'a acting is very good. The concept is amazing and it's beautifully shown which many would argue. The flaws came in 1. The Make Up - The make up for the futuristic scenes where characters were shows to be old could have been way better. Animation being a little backward in Indian Cinema is still justifiable but make up should have been perfect. That might put you off. 2. The Future - The relevance of future shots was clear in the movie. They were needed. But the way they were shown was not needed. The scenes had ample of useless technological advancement shots which made no sense and seemed very fake. I understand they wanted to show the future as best as possible but the technological advancements were just way over the top. Made the audience even laugh a little and not take the movie seriously. 3. Acting - Katrina's acting is very average. Even below average if you're not a big fan. Other side characters didn't have convincing acting skills too.
Other than all these aspects, it's sure a great attempt and we should all appreciate the movie and enjoy it for what it is. I would give an extra star just for trying to make something different than other Bollywood films. More films like these are welcome in the industry. Maybe someday it'll touch the mark of what good Hollywood movies are like.
Hence, i'd rate it a good 7 out of 10 and a must watch, at least once.
