I wasn't touched

Warning: Spoilers
"Romance sentimentale" or "Sentimental Romance" is a French black-and-white film from 1930, so this one is already over 85 years old. As such, it was a fairly early sound film, there are several music aspects in here. But for my taste, this 20-minute film was just too experimental. The story, barely existent, as such, no real plot in here, did not do too much for me. I have heard a lot of good things about Eisenstein, but I cannot say his work here got me curious about any of his longer films. The only part I somewhat liked was actually the woman (Mara Griy in her only on-screen performance) singing towards the end. But this is just not enough, not even for such a short film. I give it a thumbs down. Not recommended.
