Could have been a really good movie, but sadly ... NOT!

I read a few comments on other websites which stated that this movie was a flop. I like some of the stuff that Nick Cage and Elijah Wood have done on their own. So I thought them acting together, might work. I was right. I gave it a shot. I found right off that the character development was excellent. Also writing seems humorous and intriguing. So you may ask why I only rated it "one star". Without giving away any of the movie, the ending was very disappointing. So much so, that I wish I didn't watch it. Well, I can't recommend this to anyone. At least the actors got paid. It wasn't their fault. It was just bad writing and direction. Yes, I said "direction". The director could have demanded a rewrite of the last 15 minutes of the film, but did not.
