It had the potential...but blew it.

Warning: Spoilers
Remember those boring science class trips that you took, probably in junior high, sitting in a field, eating an assembly line lunch out of a paper bag? In my school, they were legendary, and older kids warned us of how boring it could be if you didn't go in with the right attitude. That's exactly what this is, a science class trip where the intended education value turns out to be boring and pointless.

The film has an episodic feel to it, covering the legends of the Yeti, the abominable snowman and their North American counterpart, Bigfoot. Long explanatory segments of how modern man has taken over Bigfoot's territory are so painfully obvious that a second grader could figure it out. The outdoors can be beautiful, especially in color, but it goes on far too long, particularly a sequence where two lumber workers spot what they think is Bigfoot and stop to investigate.

Well intended, it falls short of having a strong story, and I came out of it not really learning anything new. A journey with an over experienced science professor turns into Indiana Jones meets Bill and Ted, but unfortunately, it ain't no excellent adventure.
