Agent Carter: The Lady in the Lake (2016)
Season 2, Episode 1
9/10
the other kind of time travel
2 February 2016
Your humble reviewer finds it ironic that at the same approximate time that the DC power brokers launch a time travel series (LEGENDS OF TOMORROW) the second season of Agent Carter opens with a different kind of travel. Namely the ability to run a narrative against a backdrop of a different period and doing it so bloody well that every slang expression, every costume, every backdrop, even the sound track, makes you actually feel you have gone back in time.

And it is a nice feeling. Evem if Agent Carter were not as well produced as it is, not as much fun, I might have tuned in just for the nostalgia of Post War America. (If you feel the same way about the settings, grab a copy of CAST A DEADLY SPELL 1991 with Fred Ward -- more fun than a barrel of hammers).

Love this series. Love the ambiance. Love the professionalism. Love the quality.

As for Legends of Tomorrow, it is no longer on my watch list.
