Too much and too little happens here
27 November 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Too much happens in "The Stranded" as far as plot is concerned. There are too many location shifts, that arise due to plot progression. Unfortunately, the episode loses sense of where its going after a while. The party sequence was mostly dull, and the part of the episode where Jerry and Elaine are stranded lasts only a minute or so. The title itself makes little sense, and the plot then becomes bizarre. Having the host of the party show up in Jerry's apartment was ridiculous and the rest of the episode was not funny!

It was interesting to see a side to Elaine's character- she's more grounded as far as her morals are concerned. She despises fur clothing, showing a moral limit, whereas George would steal medicine to right the wrong. That was a funny segment of the episode (with George at the chemist), unfortunately it went nowhere.

"The Stranded" is very disappointing. Even the "SEINFELD" titles are in white caps, which imply this episode belongs to Season 2. It attempts to copy "The Parking Garage" and "The Chinese Restaurant" as far as the 'stranded' element is concerned, but the writing is all over the place. It makes little sense that Jerry and Elaine would even go to this party, and overall, the episode is worth a skip.
