This film was good until towards the end there when that white doctor showed his true colours by raping that poor girl! That really infuriated me a lot! He was extremely lucky that he didn't get shot by the girl's mother if it hadn't have been for the doctor's wife! I blame the wife for preventing her from shooting him! If I ever had children and some sick loser ever raped my kid, he won't even make it to jail because he'd be 6 feet under! Although this is only a film, it still made me mad to see that poor Native girl get raped by that sick white man! I don't think it was enough that the police were called in right after that incident. Even if the rapist was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison, that wouldn't have been enough since he would have eventually be released and go back to his raping ways! They should bring back the death penalty for child rapists and murderers in Canada. That's the ONLY way that justice will ever be served for crimes THAT serious!! Anyway.... good film nonetheless. Tantoo Cardinal and Tom Jackson are both 5 star performers. That's why this film earned an 8 out of 10.
