This is a pretty strong episode which is all concentrated on one case. It is Dr. Nate Lennox who has ALS getting into ER and having pneumonia. The doctors aren't sure he wants to fight it as he several times shows that he wants to go home. And yet Abby really doesn't want to give him up.
It is so well done as we see how his disease progressed. How he was a guy who at the beginning was very positive and ready to fight and how the disease slowly brings him down. There are also the times when he is facing more and more problems and we see how much it hurts him to become less independent.
And then we also see why Abby has so much trouble giving up on him and want to convince him to fight. He was the professor who refused to let her give up and helped her to pass his class. Very emotional and beautiful episode.
