Fairy Tail (2009–2019)
7/10
Not as great as it seems

Once I began Fairy Tail , I honestly loved it as it could merge the comical and action sequences in a suiting proportion. From the Everlue arc to the few following arcs , it wouldn't be something you would classify as 'epic'. I always seems like the creators are attempting to drag the show on by making it's base of popularity as fan-service. You've got some really(reaaaaaaaally) good looking females in it , so it has got a great chance of being a magnet for fan-boys.

The arc when it actually looks deep into a person's history is the Galuna arc , the first major arc of Fairy Tail. It has got quite some fillers which can get a little annoying.

But one of its major problems is that the show lacks logic. The main characters , when almost beaten, gets fueled by 'nakama power' and beats the enemy rather blandly , which defeats the purpose of the fights. It makes the upcoming fights rather predictable and thus makes them boring. The baseless fights are what that makes the pretty awesome and twisted plot spoiled and not well received.

But however , when one of the most major story arcs in Fairy Tail , The Grand Magic Games is what makes you wanna continue the series as it dominates most of the anime's suspense. The arc(for once) is logical and unusually surprising with all theories related to time travel included.

Fairy Tail can be a good series(with it's cute and bad-ass characters) since it can be emotional as well as a light hearted anime at the same time. But this would only be the case if you have the patience to wait till the Grand Magic Games arc.
