I love Spongebob. I watch with my kids and occasionally alone - I have seen the first movie several times and enjoy it every time, but this,... this was .....boring. The story was stupid, and not Spongebob stupid, just stupid. The songs were uninspired - what happened to the person who wrote "Now That We're Men"? I found myself just waiting for them to go ashore and then they did and it was nothing special. The pirate was annoying and the dolphin was obnoxious. I know they could have done better, they did the first time. I feel cheated by the experience, like they knew I would be forced to take my children and pay my money so why bother putting in too much effort. When the movie ended I said to my children, I want my money back, and a dad in front of us turned around to express his disappointment.
