I walked into the crowded multiplex, apprehensive of Dev, only lured there by the seductive words of professional critics. I came out, swearing at the critics who I had so naively believed, with vigor that I myself didn't know I possessed. To summarize what's wrong with Buno Haansh, let me give you an example. A villain, a pimp as she was, has a favorite dialog. Now, I don't compare all villains with The Joker or, you know, any GOOD villain of Hollywood when I watch Indian movies. But, her lines left me brain dead.
She said and, I quote verbatim "Dushtu lokera amai Addy bole." I won't bother translating, as, no one other than Bengalis watch Tollywood anyway. Then, Dev, looking as dumb as he probably is in real life, struts around, irritating the hell out of me. In one scene, a girl tells him for FIVE fricking minutes about how she was pimped to Bangkok from India.After she ends, Dev says something like, "I see, that woman deals in women." I mean, what the hell? You understood that now, GENIUS? Then, there' the minor matter of the protagonist(if Dev deserves such a respectful tag) and his new girlfriend running away to Pune with 20 lakh, set to make a new life in Australia. Other than the fact that, 20 lakh is not enough to make a new life in India, let alone Australia, with it's negative currency value, without any qualifications whatsoever, why the hell will you choose Australia? The country's filled with racist people who stick screwdrivers into you! And,then, there's the Race fiasco. Apparently, all you need to win horse races is a pretty chick and bundles of fake thousand bucks notes. But, the list goes on. I could, for example, quote how Dev shoots a professional killer who he had eluded so far with one shot. And, on and on and on. To conclude,NEVER EVER EVER think about watching that movie. It LITERALLY decreases your IQ.
