Three sailors go On the Town - in Paris
7 August 2014
There's nothing wrong with this movie that some good songs wouldn't fix. The biggest problem is that it's a musical, but all the songs are instantly forgettable.

The best thing about this movie is Gene Nelson's own dancing and his choreography for the other dancers. He's quite impressive. His choreography is very athletic.

The other two male leads do a good job, though they aren't in his league when it comes to the dancing.

The women are all forgettable.

As is the plot, which is a rehash of "On the Town" (1949) and "Daddy Long Legs" (1955), both of which had better scripts and much better music.

It's a pleasant way to spend 90 minutes, but a day after you're likely to have forgotten most of it.
