Review of The Trip

The Trip (I) (2010)

Warning: Spoilers
Two guys go to a gastronomy trip: that's the main plot of "The Trip". It's hard to believe that such a simple story would be any entertaining or engaging, but in fact, it is for most of the time. Steve and Rob have strong personalities, and sometimes I asked myself if they were really friends. You know, sometimes you don't think they like each other, since there are some unnecessary arguments during the meals. This movie will surely be appreciated by those who care about acting, music, entertainment, culture, and other aspects of urban's life. For the first time in my life, Brazilian's translated title expressed much of the film's content; they translated into something like "An Eccentric Trip", and that's pretty much what the film is about. Two guys that go for a different kind of trip-- how many gastronomy trips have you heard about?-- with an unpredictable plot and some few funny scenes, thanks to the good acting involving both main actors. Good movie, but has nothing remarkable to make you feel like watching it again. An adult piece of entertainment with contend and a beautiful photography are what sum this movie up.
