>warning this may be a bias review< Possibly my favorite anime of all time, even topping that of 'Evangelion' and 'Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood'. This is an anime that turns the 'magical girl genre' on its head and deconstruct it. Most magical girl anime's star a generic girl with little to no personality and give them powers to battle some generic evil. This anime however take this rather childish genre and gives it a unique twist (that several other reviewers have said but fail to realize that that is a spoiler to this show). I would highly recommend watching the first 3 episodes (specifically) before disregarding it at the first or second episode. This is best watched after watching something like 'Sailor Moon' or any other generic 'magical girl' anime (don't have to watch many episodes just enough to have an impression on the genre in a whole). This is NOT a perfect anime, but still one of the best anime has to offer.
