Kath (Molly Shannon) and Kim Day (Selma Blair) are a wacky mother and daughter pairing. Phil Knight (John Michael Higgins) and Craig Baker (Mikey Day) are their romantic love interests.
This is a Australian transplant of a wacky mother-daughter TV comedy. And with that, there was a lot of whining from fans of the original. Inevitably, the US has prettier people and loses some of its edgier elements. Shannon and Blair work well together, and have enough comedic skills to pull it off. Higgins is hilarious and off beat. Day pales in comparison. There is a wacky show here but it's somewhat uneven. It lasted 17 episodes. If only people forget about the Australian original, this might have had a chance.
