This is only the third "Femme Fatales" episode I've watched so far, after "The White Flower" and "Something Like Murder", and it's very different to the other two: while they also contain hints of irony, this one is an outright spoof. Reginald C. Hayes is certainly not the type of guy you'd expect to see as the lead in a series like this, but he's funnier here than many more hyped comedians, playing a nerdy video game designer who's in for a big surprise when his internet date turns out to be an even bigger liar about her identity than he is. The absurdity of the situations is intentionally exaggerated to an outrageous degree. And there's even a happy ending! The only serious fault is that the masked party sequence goes on a tad too long. ***
