Liked this one! Despite not being a massive fan of 'Found-Footage- Films'.
But this one was pretty good! Shows how exorcisms can be faked using all kinds of technology & how they can be very real! Liked how things began to escalate! Making you want to watch through out the film! Nell stabbing her brother in the hand, the father Louis going mental, threatening them with a shotgun & forcing them to preform another exorcism after they learn that Louis raped her! It then turns out the family have lied to the group of investigators & then ends with the crew wandering into the woods & see a large fire and a congregation of hooded cultists led by Pastor Manley. Louis is tied up and gagged while hooded figures pray around an altar, atop which Nell is bound. She gives birth to an inhuman child, while her father watches helplessly. Manley throws the child into the fire, which causes the fire to grow rapidly as demonic roars emanate from within. The it ends with Marcus running toward the fire to combat the evil after his belief is restored.
I thought the ending to be quite good! Were the people go mental & start killing Iris beating her with an axe to death! Then Daniel getting decapitated by Nell's brother Caleb who slits his throat causing the camera to cut out! Then it turns out that the family had serious issues all along!
The film overall was pretty good! Took a while to get going but had an ace ending! Which reminded me of Paranormal Activity! Slow beginning. Piecing together clues as to whats happening & the Dramatic ending & the cut scene to the credits! I'm looking forward to the sequel! The Last Exorcism Part II on March 15th!
