A couple of Secret Service agents are assigned to a mysterious warehouse in South Dakota by the also mysterious Mrs. Frederic. It seems the warehouse, a vast complex, is where odd and dangerous artifacts from around the world and throughout time are stored and guarded to prevent them from getting into the wrong hands. The two leads who spar at the beginning of the episode but, of course, start to become friends by the end of the episode were played by actors not known to me but they did a good job. I had heard of and long admired CCH Pounder and Saul Rubinek and although I prefer the Rubinek character, the Pounder character is convincingly forbidding and intriguing. I found the X Files unwatchable but found this show (at least the pilot) to be entertaining and exciting. Also with just enough comedy ala The Librarian movies (a series of movies I much enjoyed). A good start to a refreshing new series.
