Review of Triple Dog

Triple Dog (2010)
7/10
Not that bad

Warning: Spoilers
I don't understand all the bad reviews. Yes, it is predictable, and the acting is only okay, but if you're looking for something kind of light and a little silly, this is it. There are also a lot of complaints about the writing, but the lines are actually pretty accurate to how teens talk. I guess this is more of a teenage girl-type movie.

It starts out with Eve's birthday party. Three "Popular" girls are there, along with the school's "rat freak" and a transfer student from another school, Chapin. No one knows exactly why she was kicked out of her old school, except that is has to do with a freak accident involving a girl falling, being pushed, or jumping off a bridge, depending on who you asked.

They proceed to begin a game of Triple dog, an exaggerated version of Truth or dare where there are no truth questions allowed, only extreme dares. They then drive around the city and do a bunch of different dares, ranging from streaking to faking a seizure in a public place. This part gets a little tedious, but it is necessary to the whole plot.

Every once in a while there is a flashback to a few days before, and there are flashbacks to the night of the freak accident, portraying the different versions of how it happened.

We eventually find out what happened, and it is entirely predictable, but still sweet and kind of sad. Not Oscar-worthy, but still a cute little movie.
