The Ending Ruined It For Me!
26 June 2012
Warning: Spoilers
I will say this for "Braveheart". I sure didn't see that ending coming! In more than one silent movie, you can see the end coming from 10 miles away, but this one, no! You probably notice the title of my review. That is because it is the truth. Now, should I tell you the ending or not? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Well, before deciding whether or not I do that, I will say that this movie seemed to be all right, if not formulaic. Rod LaRoque, as the title character, works hard to get ahead. He also impresses a lady of a different racial background along the way. This is why I gave it a three and not a one. At the end, this lady of a different background makes her way to the reservation where Braveheart is living. Earlier, she had rejected him because of his race, but now she has come to tell him that race doesn't matter to her... I know I've built up the ending of this, but I'll let see what you think. I will tell you again, though, it was why I didn't like this film!
