Widowed mother Alexandra Paul (as Michelle Ross) is happy when high school-aged daughter Amanda Bauer (as Lexi) is asked out by hunky football star Andy Fischer-Price (as Gregory "Greg" Nickels). This "Lifetime" TV-movie does not follow the formula. It will likely keep you watching and guessing. Most of the promotional material mentions a suicide occurring; there is no suicide. A parallel story involves Ms. Paul's druggie son Jake Thomas (as Shane), who has been kicked out of the house. Mr. Thomas performs his role well and becomes more prominent as the film progresses. Campbell, Conradt and Sanders move it nicely.
