Backbone (1975)

Not bad but copy
17 April 2011
Warning: Spoilers
While watching the movie I felt bored, not because of lack of action in the movie but because of apparent copying of style similar to the style of Ingmar Bergman. Complex psychological drama without much dialog's and lots to say. Do not get me wrong I love Bergman just think that this movie is only a pale copy and also not so good, deep and serious one. The story is mysterious, interesting and unique, not like the Yugoslav films at that time. It looks down at suicide and the human brain as the thing that have innate damage, and some other stuff but again too scattered and not say much.

The acting was solid as well as directing. I do not want to make you turn away from watching this film, just think that we shouldn't view this film as a jewel or masterpiece of the Yugoslav cinema.
