Blackout (2007) This was a pretty average thriller, which saw three very different personalities get trapped in a lift together at an abandoned apartment block. As they're trying to devise a plan to escape a series of flashbacks play out showing the previous 24 hours and revealing the various reasons behind them all needing a quick escape from their predicament. The main theme behind the film is that your first impressions are not always correct but it all plays out a bit predictably and is ultimately unsatisfying. The premise itself has potential but the characters seem too one-dimensional and some of the acting is pretty wooden. Distinctly average. ****** 6/10.
