Cinematography pretty much all it has going for it
31 May 2008
A great disappointment, Secret Of The Cave. Terrible script, plot holes you could drive a truck through, and marginal acting. Patrick Bergin, the film's topline name, is in two scenes and approximately three minutes of film time.

In the end, the film could have been better on almost every front -- though the cinematography is pleasant and professional -- and I couldn't help feeling that watching it had stolen a couple of hours I'd never get back. Semi-professional and quasi-competent is so much more maddening than good or bad.

For those who call it a feel good movie, perhaps they were able to overlook the truly mediocre film-making to the story, such as it was. I was not.
