"Smallville" has one of its weaker episodes of Season 1 in "Nicodemus." Still enjoyable on a lower level, but this episode does nothing to progress Clark's journey of self-discovery.

The flower, like an allergy, affects those who come in contact with it to magnify their desires. The flower also affects Lana. Unfortunately for Clark her desires, like if someone was being hypnotized, are simply enhanced by the flower.
