Review of Robotrix

Robotrix (1991)
Fun Cat III Trash
9 March 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Robotrix is a cheap and trashy Cat III outing which mixes sci-fi, action & comedy elements along with the usual sleaze and gore of the HK Category III film.

Taking obvious cues from Robocop and The Terminator, the futuristic story opens with female cop, Selina (busty AV idol & Edo Rapeman star, Chikako Aoyama) getting killed during the kidnapping of an Arabian prince she is protecting. We soon discover that the prince was kidnapped by fiendish scientist & robot designer, Ryuichi Sakamoto, who subsequently commits Hara-kiri and transplants his evil mind into his latest robot creation, played by Billy Chow (Horrible High Heels, Escape from the Brothel).

The psycho cyborg then proceeds to go on a hooker-killing rampage punctuated by a few sleazy rapes. Luckily, Japanese scientist Dr. Sara and her robot assistant Anne (big-titted Cat III cutie, Amy Yip) are standing by to donate their services, and they do so by transferring dead cop Selina's mind into a clone of her old body, then together they prepare to hunt down the evil whore-slaughtering robot and save the prince.

This flick is a whole lotta fun. There's enough sex, violence, robot-rape and low brow comedy relief courtesy of the goofball cops to keep the avid sleazehound entertained. Some classic scenes involve Amy Yip going undercover in a brothel to try and lure the crazed cyborg in, but ends in half the police force lining up to bang her! There's also limb tearing, ultra cheesy special effects and some violent-robot-wielding-a-flamethrower action. A guaranteed good time for one and all! 7/10
