Profound and compelling
27 October 2006
I walked into this movie thinking it would be just another average film festival movie and was completely blindsided by an extraordinary experience. The movie is about love and compassion and forgiveness. I laughed and I cried several times. The dramatic urgency of the film as a whole makes this an extremely moving film especially for teenagers or families who are coping with loss and the often subsequent turn to addiction. The writing, and above all, the directing, soars in this profound and compelling film.

I was lucky enough to be able to attend the premiere of this film at the Hollywood film festival and got a chance to meet the filmmaker. I was lucky enough to tell him something I would rarely tell any director:

"Thank you for making such a beautiful movie."
