How anyone could say the writing of the Oblongs is poor is beyond me; Perhaps it is yet another person who watches some of the racist bs like "The Boondocks" on CTNnet recently. The characters all have sizeable physical problems (obviously) but they hilariously go through life coping any way they can, even though they don't have much to match the rich people on the hill. The Oblong family is far from perfect by the standards of the Hill people, but when you get down to it their family turns out to be happier and better adjusted. "The Oblongs" is a great comedy for those of us who enjoy to laugh at the less than politically correct, without having to stoop to the point of racist jokes or the N word. My recommendation: Bring back this series! (I doubt it will happen, but it should)
