''Wasabi'' is an excellent movie. It is the third time I watch this movie, and I still cannot be tired of it! It's a mix of comedy and action, having the main language french, but also having some Japanese lines and the story being in Japan. Another nice thing,was seeing a movie showing a modern Japan,without the samurai/geisha cliché. The character Yumi Yoshimido looks exaggerating sometimes in her way to speak or her crazy way to dress,but this is how many of the modern Japanese teenagers behave.I was also very surprise to know that the actress who played Yumi,Ryoko Hirosue, didn't know how to speak french,and she learned her lines phonetically! I am not french, but she spoke in the movie very well to me, and also her acting was great,since she was convincing in her role.
