I've never been a big fan of foreign language comedies (British humour is very parochial so i don't get foreign humour too well). Regardless, this film seemed to push the buttons. Does not go too far down the road in poor taste, but rather prefers to spoof various genres, including musical horror slasher and even comedy, in order to give the audience a varied mixture of a movie that is completely no-brainer but still hits the spot.
Basically, about a dysfunctional but likable family running a hotel in the middle of nowhere who end up with the unwanted conundrum of getting weird guests who all seem to die on them..... Their efforts to cover everything up with the musical interludes, keeps you guessing, whilst the almost Monty Pythonesque animation interludes allows a breather away from the main story...
A cool refreshing humorous movie which i very much enjoyed. Not a classic or award winner, but definitely a good evening movie with your mates...
