Evil on Queen Street (2002 Video)
7/10
Action packed way to spend 90 minutes!!
12 May 2004
This film was action packed thanks to the always great Matt Spease as Nick Wilson. The action never seems to let up at all, except for a few scenes involving Violet Flame as Alexia. She seemed to never really fully step into the role, it was like she was holding back and was just saying lines instead of actually playing the character. The rest of the cast though saves the film. The already mentioned Nick is a great anti-hero, Rodney Duncan was perfectly cast as Anderson although his screentime is really lacking, Lee Wade Austin and Charlie Spease were great for comic relief, and Amber Harris is really convincing even though her part is very small. The only other complaint I have is Stacy Baker as Kathy, were Violet underacted in her role, Stacy overacts big time in many of her scenes and really gets annoying with her loudness. But the action sequences come off very well and the kill scenes are fairly well done, although some are a bit too CGI for my tastes.

***1/2 (would have been four stars if it wasn't for Violet and Stacy)
