Good Morning, Miami (2002–2004)
Despite what you've heard...
20 January 2003
Okay, you've no doubt heard dreadful things about this show, but I can promise you, it is not nearly as bad as you might think. I hated it in the beginning, if for nothing else than the reviews I'd read. And let's face it, the weather nun and the single most Cuban woman alive were bad choices. But now that they're gone, the show can shine. Constance Zimmer as Penny is a really refreshing and funny character (picture Beth from Newsradio only sharper and better dressed). Plus, isn't it about time we gave Mark Feuerstein a break already? Let the man have a show that lasts more than a season! Feuerstein as Jake and Zimmer as Penny have excellent chemistry and Jere Burns, Ashley Williams, Matt Letscher, and Suzanne Pleshette are all truly enjoyable. It's not the greatest show on TV, but if you give it a shot, it is a good one. I hope it gets renewed. This and Scrubs are all I have left to really enjoy on NBC.
