The Last Man (2000)
9/10
Classic Humor
12 May 2003
It's a great example of a film that uses situation and hijinks to create humor instead of the recent wave of gross-out or slap-stick comedies. Not that this is better or worse, just different and unique.

The script is wonderful. The acting is wonderful. The premise is fabulous and the movie is well worth the effort you'll have to put out to find it.

The premise is a chubby, balding, middle-aged, anthropologist geek is the last man on earth until one day he finds a megahot babe. (She's a bit off her rocker, but he can look past that.) Everything's pretty sweet for him until they run into a good-looking but not-so-bright, younger dude and anthropology-geek's good fortune comes crashing down in a wave of jealousy and isolation.

Hijinks and situation make this film truly great and unique.
