Once again, this movie has convinced me that there is not one living actress that can come close to Streep in the art of acting. If you have seen her other movies, you will know how versatile she is in the roles she has played. The theme of this movie is not unique and has been revisited....a well meaning teacher trying to make a difference in the lives of inner city Harlem kids in the face of great odds. But it is Streep's performance that has made this movie another enthralling story telling experience for me. I give Meryl a standing ovation.
