Colorful nonsense... with seductive Rhonda!
6 August 1999
Warning: Spoilers
In the last years of the 8th-Century before Christ, Chaldean Rebel Amal (Ricardo Montalban) decided to finish with an Assyrian conqueror and a ruthless assassin...

Badly injured, a peasant attractive girl, Semiramis (Rhonda Fleming), cures Amal's wounds, and falls in love with him...

Imprisoned for helping a dangerous rebel, Semiramis is selected with other girls to dance for King Assur...

Impressed by her beauty, Semiramis becomes his favorite...

Later on, the King is found poisonous... Semiramis is believed guilty... but Amal has returned..

"Semiramis" is a colorful nonsense Italian production with little imagination and enthusiasm... The film is only an intent in packing the screen with the lustrous red-headed seductive presence of Rhonda Fleming... Rhonda pretended to do some slightly dramatic postures showing off her nicely tailored form... Her beautiful green eyes were indeed so nice to look at...
