Sam (Samuel) Fuller and Maxwell Shane, both noted for writing some better-than-average originals, didn't waste much in the way of creative juices on this one. Do away with the band of gritty-but-game Arabs, sprinkle some water around Fort Agadez and the whole movie would be heading straight for Pitcarin Island.
